Kentucky’s new Quarterback, Devin Leary, is coming off of a season-ending injury at NC State last season. The talented transfer QB has a lot of confidence heading into the season.
Leary says the injury was actually a good challenge for him, saying “It really challenges you and tests your true love for the game… I’m in the best shape I have ever been in.”

Getting healthy was the top priority for Leary when he arrived at Kentucky in the spring, where he says he’s “feeling 100 percent” now: “Here I am today fully healthy feeling 100 percent, feeling no restrictions, feeling the best shape I have ever been in.”
The goal now for Leary is to advance his leadership for the team: “For me now, it’s just continue to be that leadership role for all my teammates, and continue to advance with Coach Coen as well.”
Leary has all of the confidence heading into the season, which is just under three weeks away on September 2nd, and health and leadership is important for the team to succeed.
